The Whistler Mosaic Marsala Cask Whiskey

The Whistler Mosaic Marsala Cask Whiskey is a unique expression from the Boann Distillery in Ireland, showcasing an innovative approach to Irish single malt. It is triple-distilled and initially matured in ex-bourbon barrels before being finished for an extended period in Italian Marsala wine casks. This specific maturation imparts a sophisticated complexity and a distinct flavor profile. Expect a rich nose of honey, toasted almonds, and sweet raisins, leading to a palate with layers of dark fruit, fig, and subtle warming spice, all balanced by a characteristic Irish smoothness. This bottling celebrates the influence of the sweet, fortified Marsala wine, resulting in a wonderfully approachable yet intricate whiskey that is best enjoyed neat or with a drop of water.
