Pusser\’s Gunpowder Rum

Pusser\’s Gunpowder Proof is an historical overproof expression that revives the Navy strength rum served aboard Royal Navy ships until the practice was abolished in 1970. This dark, full-bodied rum is blended in the exacting tradition of the British Royal Navy\’s rum issues.Bottled at a robust 54.5% ABV (109 proof), Gunpowder Proof delivers an exceptional depth of flavor. It features a complex profile of molasses, dried fruit, dark brown sugar, and rich spice, with a distinct warmth that stands up powerfully in cocktails. Distilled from a high-quality molasses base and aged in heavily charred oak barrels, this rum is renowned for its smooth yet intense character. It is an ideal spirit for historically accurate naval cocktails like the Pusser\’s Painkiller or a bold Rum Old Fashioned.
