A\’kira T.FX.T 2020

A\’Kira T.FX.T is the little brother of the Arachon, where the name comes from the Burgenland dialect and means something like \”joyful outcry\”.

Arachon T.FX.T is Austrias premier joint venture. Three acclaimed Austrian winemaking friends from three different wine producing regions in Austria came together: Illa SZEMES, F.X. PICHLER and Manfred TEMENT.Their vision was to produce a premium red wine to rival the greats like Bordeaux using native and international grape varieties, coupled with their extensive know-how in the vineyard management and winemaking experience.

The chosen name for the wine was ARACHON T.FX.T (pronounced Arra-Khon) which was the old name of the town Horitschon around 1540. The T.FX.T stands for the three Partners, or Directors: Tibor Szemes, F.X. Pichler and Manfred Tement. ARACHON T.FX.T is a blend of the indigenous Blaufrnkisch, with Merlot, Zweigelt and Cabernet Sauvignon

Grape Varietal & Region: A\’kira T.FX.T is made from 100% autochthonous Blaufrnkisch grapes. The grapes are sourced from selected vineyards in the Burgenland region, and reflects the elegance of the Blaufrnkisch grape and the terroir of poor slate soils.

Taste Profile: Pure Blaufrnkisch with a fruity nose of plums and cherries, very harmonious and encouraging to drink. Versatile food companion.

Winemaking Process: 18 months in 500 liter barrels and large wooden barrels
